This neon glow is actually my favorite time of year. I think it’s because it’s the most peaceful and relaxing time of year. I love how it makes the day bright and bright.
Neon lights are great because they are very much like real sunsets, which can be pretty depressing. In fact, they’re always a bit depressing, but this particular one in particular was especially depressing. I tried to capture that mood in this picture I took on the weekend, since I was already so sad about this year. It was really hard to pick one specific moment, as the day couldn’t have been this sad if it wasn’t for that particular neon glow.

They don’t change much at all, so the only time they ever do have a bright glow is when they are on their way out. In fact, I used this picture to capture the neon glow I captured on the night I was on the party island of Blackreef.
